Board of Directors

We are a hands-on board of directors who are actively involved providing information and peer-support opportunities for people with OCD, their family and friends, and people with related disorders.

Cassandra Marzke  – President

Cassandra (Cassie) Marzke became the president of OCD SF Bay Area in 2022 after graduating from UC Berkeley with a BA in Psychology. She is currently working in the mental health field before applying to graduate school. Cassie co-created the project A Penny for Your Intrusive Thoughts (apennyforyourintrusivethoughts.org) in 2018, an organization that harnesses the power of anonymity to raise awareness OCD, specifically taboo intrusive thoughts. She has since created multiple advocacy campaigns and spoken at various conferences and events about her lived experience with OCD and mental illness. She loves using her story to educate others and create change. She considers herself relatively in recovery and hopes that sharing her story can create hope for others.
